Why Rocket Bunny V1, you may ask? well, because in my opinion, it's the cleanest Rocket Bunny kit out there. a̶l̶s̶o̶ ̶i̶'̶m̶ ̶a̶ ̶h̶u̶g̶e̶ ̶f̶a̶n̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶.̶t̶s̶u̶k̶i̶n̶o̶u̶s̶a̶g̶i̶ ̶s̶o̶ ̶i̶ ̶w̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶f̶o̶l̶l̶o̶w̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶b̶u̶i̶l̶d̶ ̶h̶a̶h̶a̶h̶a̶h̶a̶h̶a̶h̶a̶h̶a̶ i mean, it doesn't dramatically change the overall look of the car - it just make the car looks more wider and more aggressive without destroying the overall looks. oh yeah, i ordered some Valenti lights too.  Before i choose the V1, i was about ordering the RBV2 kit - but the grin looks kinda distract me. Low key liking the Pandem V3 kit but it changed the car waaay too much and it was soooo expensive at the moment. (unless i went into full TJ Hunt mode in the future.)  oh wait, it's not the result i've wanted, but yeah, i haven't touched any running part - yet. gonna bring this car into paint shop for finishing while i'm waiting for my Running Gear kit order to arrive. |

 So my ride just got back from the paint shop, painted it silver because i don't have any decent inspiration for color choice at the moment. Silvers were kinda universal (and mainstream, to be honest) But i'll live with it, unless i decide to put stripes, or two tone, or race inspired paintjob, or even full weeb itasha shit on it. Also, rocket bunny stickers. Rear Window is available f̶o̶r̶ ̶l̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ for more stickers!  Just bought these brand new Greedy Type-S, pretty fun to drive it around Osaka hills. (there's no hills in Osaka.)  ....Completed with brembo kits from R34 leftovers. Even it look pointless to having a big calipers such as these but i seen it as a long term plan, because you know, that engine isn't gonna stay like that forever.  After putting some spacers, then i complete it with brand new Work CR-Kai. The Koseis has been reserved by Jorge, sorry guys.  Driving it has been pretty fun so far. Driving it to my part time job in Lawson's is kinda pain in the ass though. Ok, next stop, Engines! On second thought, doesn't sure what i'll gonna do. Upgrade or swap? (I've been noticing that a lot of people wanders around the same McDonald's as mine heheh) |

Good job with the stance on that 86! It looks like a racecar now so a racing paintjob would match perfectly. About the engine, you can try to upgrade it but depends what kind of power you want. The FA20's not really known for high performance but i think it still has some potential.

I know FA20 had potential (personally i don't want to make it too much boasting power, since i was a terrible driver), but the base itself were pretty heavy, and i was aiming for more lighter setup. |

I've been looking for engine modification advices for GT86 around the internet, there's a lot of good things i learned.
But holy shit my lack of knowledge about boxer engine kinda kills me even i've been doing these stuff for a lot of years. Back then when i was still in 'Seto, people who bring their 86 has their engine swapped to engine like Jay-Z or RnB. Also once found one with SR in it.  As far as i know, people with 86 always saw the engine, FA20, as a disadvantage and decided to swap into something else for a quick leap, but the fact is even it's kinda heavy for a 4 banger, FA20 (or 4U, as called by toyota purists) the design were clever enough to make the car so stable because it's engine placement is pretty low. This makes the car handles damn (well, near) perfect. Because of that i'll be staying with this engine for a while and gonna try to mod it until the limit (my limit, not the engine). Been ordering some parts from HKS, might come in a few days so we'll talk more about the engine later.  Meanwhile, as you may noticed there's a Varis rear bumper hanging on my 86 butt. Issa secondhand and with a good price for like a half of the brand new one. Felt love with it, auto-buy, paint and put it to my car as fast as i could.  also putting some decals on my rear window. Mikingo's giveaways kinda make me interested in designing stickers (graphic design is my passion xddd) It's only the first sticker from top, the latter was a gift and leftovers.... So few days ago i went into Docks and meet Mackay. He came with his Candy Purple 2007 Nissan 350Z.  Never seen a such sleek looking 350Z before. I was a huge fan of 2007 Nismo kit (the rear diffuser make me jizz). He told me that he almost decided to get a 370Z instead of this. Good call i say, since 350z is way, WAAAAY better looking than that monstrosity (no offense pls) We took some photograph (excuse my shitty photograph lol) and few footage, may make some video if the result was good. Oh yeah, he's also writing some blog about his build, check it out HERE,he's gonna upload more pics from our meet which is far lot better than mine Too bad our meeting was cut short because the delivery guy called me and told that he's been waiting for me for about 3 hours in front of my garage. Sorry Mackay! anyway, would be cool if sometime, everyone in Osaka join us and do a meet up. -------  So yeah, it's the parts that i've ordered few days ago. Got a bunch of parts such as exhaust kit from HKS, and turbo kit and turbo headers from Greedy since i just realized that HKS doesn't make a turbo kit for 86. Now it runs with Single Greedy T518Z Turbo, boasting about 300 to 350HP-ish. Still a prediction though, since i haven't test it out at dyno properly.  FA20 with turbo is a very uncommon kind, actually. Most people runs with Supercharger but i'm not a fan of it's whistling sound. HKS has been experimenting with supercharger, like THIS one, but i don't think i wanna do it.... for now.  Also new HKS branded exhaust tip because why not. (come on HKS plz endorse me) Completed with brand new Varis Arising-II hood, since the engine need more air to breathe, i guess. That's all for now! |
