Hello, i'm a guy lives in somewhere of the earth.
Some weeks ago, I bought an Toyota Mark II(X81) for 2000 bucks from an junkyard located about an hour from my house.

The dealer said this X81 was for drift-use, has been trashed for over 10 years and planned to be an tuna can 2 or 3days later.
I was shocked to hear that so I bought it up quickly. (lel) As a car guy, its always sad to see cars being trashed :(

Since it was trashed for a long time, its condition is really in bad state like windows are missing, bonnet, front right light, grill's gone, dust everywhere on car, no exhaust, rear suspensions are broken and finally brakes are almost died.

Surprisingly, the necessary parts as a drift car are still alive. lol
Bucket seat, stock passenger seat ,Nardi and othes! Wonder how they stayed fine for those years in junkyard.

Oh, forgot to say about the Meister S1 on the car. It didnt even have proper wheels when it was brought to home first(by a tow truck) so I put a set just for now, looking good tho

Next plan is preparing missing stock parts and removing the dust out first.

ayy, rare DG-5 suspension for my X81 arrived from ship to my home half day ago(Bye bye 3k bucks) and managed to install it.
So took a ride to check how it drives and also for fuel refill.

a picture before refueling at self gas station, it just sits&looks nice even it is unfinished build lol

and project mu brake pad combined with 310+mm rotor.
this was kinda expensive for me, but doesnt matter (maybe 2k bucks of total?), it works really great.

finally last picture before going home. too lazy to work on the engine including exhaust :3, should do later.
it was really warm outside, but since I still haven't installed missing windows it was cold af in car lol
Silly me, I think I have a cold now hahaha

btw, the gas station costed me 20 bucks for 8 gallons.

Dropped by an local tuner to ask for JZ engine stuffs and saw two attention-stealers.

Fully-stripped unknown sedan and Ferrari F355.

But my eyesight went to the sedan instead of 355 so took a closer shot of this sedan fitted with a set of RPF1.
Every unnecessary trims were removed including dashboard panels, even rear end was vented along with rear fenders. Maybe for air intake?
It seemed this sedan is for pro drift competition like D1GP.
btw Is it C35 laurel or JZX100? lol

and F355, which is the boss' car of the shop.
Boss said its an F355 challenge (what?) with minor changes like Akrapovic exhaust and expensive af HRE wheels.
and few minutes later, the boss let me to start his car kindly.

As I started the engine with some revs at low rpm, thanks to Akrapovic, the sound echoed all around making the parked cars outside alarmed.
(One funny fact: Garage's door was closed.)
All eyes were at me with this 355 (I should've taken this funny moment lol).
It was true definition of "More you can afford, pal". Even modern ferraris with aftermarket exhaust wont sound that aggressive.

Annnnd back to the main topic, I've heard interesting tip from boss sayin sly "do a 1.5JZ swap for the sound of 1JZ with 2J's power."
Maybe should I go with 1.5JZ? :O lets check few days later.
