What's up, it's been awhile.

Anyways, I built a 450 hp GT-R with a Devil's V8 the other day and managed to rocket it to over 310mph in less than 10 seconds, doing burnouts in every single gear. I crashed it into a pole a few seconds later. Pretty annoyed by this shit. Is there anyway to fix this in order to make the horsepower to speed ratio more believable?

I've always wanted a fix for that, there's probably some value that needs to be edited on some of the source engine javas but i've never really messed with them and probably nobody else did either.

So in short, there's no fix for it, just use another, less powerful, engine :D

In my opinion , the car may be the problem. I find Slrr to be pretty realistic on hp/et ratio , with a realistic weight into the equation.

For example , a full weight 1993 mustang with street tires , 350-400hp (302 ford with a turbo kit) and stock suspension may run around high 12s low 13s.

Correct.

Playing in windowed mode rather than fullscreen increases the speed of cars. I can't explain why, but it just does. /shrug

Because FPS driven physics. The more FPS the faster game works.
BB is right though, there is some inertia value on crankshaft (iirc) that can make even 50hp engine act like rocket thruster

To avoid wheels spinning at every gear, adjust ABR from settings. That'll also affect your acceleration.

since everyone's here's been mention that SLRR is using FPS driven physics engine...

try to limit your FPS by putting some vsync

I don't tend to have this problem; if anything, cars seem to be a little bit too slow to me.

Maybe something is wrong with the car? Post your dyno curve and info sheet.

Thinking more about it, i think i remember someone mentioning, a long time ago, about how sl did have different quarter mile speed with the same car by simply changing pc.

The dude had stated that he had longer times when on a single core than when on a multi core, which could actually be real considering the different clocks etc.. but i have no clue XD

FPS actually affects speed, try at 0.500 speed and you will see it going up really fast over the engine capacities
