# Zero : Bet that pulls like a train, hope i never get pulled in Japan dont what cops are like over here, must have been a cool cop i guessIt pulls really well, I got a feel that it has way more torque then the 750hp R32 # FastCars : Man them coilovers expensiveee!!! I coulda imported you some used kinda crappy adjustable coilovers in Japan for 250V$ the probably 50V$ for shipping! Thanks guys, fastcars those coilovers were cheap for under V$2000 I got the full set, plust I got distancers to offset my rims, if you didn't saw on the photo the rear rims are -14 offset on stock body. Also Sleepingon thats the reason why I did the pull at that time cause I hope there wouldn't be any cops close. Ward thanks, the car survived from 1995 till today whit any modifications so I will try to keep mine on minimum! |

So today I was thinking that I can't go do errands in the R33 or Mustang, I could damage them so why not buy a cheap runaround....Opened craigslist and found a 1997 850 Volvo for sale, in the advert it said that the car isn't in good shape and that it wasnt given a whole lot love.So called a cab and vent to check, and this is what I found
A stockish 1997 850 Volvo that had a hard life and that it has some gremlins in it but it can be good to do errands. The old volvo engine blew 3 years ago and the owner swapped it whit a LS2 and its missing couple of stuff Also the car has some susspension issues and its missing rear seats The car was advertised for V$1000 but since it had low interest right afther checking the car the owner said V$750 cash and is yours and I had to say yes since the car may have some gremlins but its good to pickup parts and stuff specialy that its missing the rear seats which I won't install back |

Took the 850 for a test drive to check all the things that are bad and emediatly noticed that the stearing wheel has a lot of free space, so I will need to inspect that, but what caught my eye really hard was while on a drive I got a small downhill and noticed that the brakes were almoust dead so I went straight to the garage and put the car on jackstands and removed the wheels.
It was shocking to see that the car got coilovers and brembo 300mm brake discs whit brembo 4 pot calipers on all corners but a bigger shock was when i checked the brake pads they were worn out totaly. While I was replacing the pads I also decided to replace the brake fuild too and now the braking sistem is fine. On a Volvo forum I found out that ATE Super Blue Type 200 DOT4 is a recomanded fluid for the 850s and that the quality of it is really good so I expected a high price but when I saw that a can of 1l costed only V$18.25 I decided to buy 2 cans for just in case, also the pads were cheap too V$40 each so V$160 for all 4. Also I will need to drain the old oil from the engine and take the engine apart to inspect it since the engine feels really bad, some gremlins are inside it xD |

Yea looks are deceiving, also got a call early today from the docks and they said that there is a shippment for me, I was wondering cause I didn't order anything, jumped in the Stang and drove there.
Afther I filled the paperwork I found this in a container It is a Nissan 180SX that was a drift slut in japan and it had a note sticked on the hood that said : "Happy B Day baka everything best and enjoy a Knock Knock project, singed FamouseMan". Didn't though that he would remember it special to send something like that, but here it is, I had to organise a tow and now need to find some room in the garage for it since the car is beaten up pretty hard. The susspension is rekt, brake sistem is not working, engine is missing rear end bumped quite a lot of times and the rear bumper mount on the left side is broken and its in place by zip ties, the interior is missing as well but we will see the list afther I finish fixing up the 850 |

180SX!!!! YAAAAYY! btw I suggest, (if you don't wanna repair the dents on the rear QP) buying some panels to hide MOST of the damage. I could sell you mine for the price I got it for, but theres better looking aftermarket panels out there...
(P.S: would you sell those wheels soon or no?) |

I understand where Zero is coming from... But being a guy who loves saving cars, Personally, I think you should save its life and help it out, cuz if you do what Zero said... Everything else is gonna go to crap and then theres no saving it then... If I lived near you and not in another country... Id love to help that beast get put up to its former glory!

Well the thing is I am not so much in to cars specialy made for drifting, I like drifting just I don't like to build cars just for that purpouse I like to cruise down the road and find a good curve and spin my rear end, so the 180 is getting a street legal ressurection, I am not shure about the style yet but there is still time for it, Boosted thanks mate if you want you can drop by whit your SX to check on the progress

The 180SX is in the garage whit the rest of my fleat xD
So two days ago I overhauled the brake sistem compleatly and yestrday afther I went to the docs to sing papers for the 180SX I towed the 850 to a LS Specialist and has his own dyno that lives here in Ardmore and he found a whole lot of gremlins..... Us two took the engine apart and he found a lot of issues here is the list : Spark plugs and wireing Timeing belt + all its components Camshaft and few misc parts He called his LS parts supplier and in a matter of hours all the parts from the list arrived, he assembled the engine test fired it then set it up and run a dyno and afther he did a dyno he called me to get to his garage. Now to the prices of the parts 10.5mm LS High Heat Spark plug ignition wires set V$33.30 10.5 NGK Chevy Spark plugs V$71.25 for set Timeing belt + all its components V$550 GM Chevy LS2 Camshaft V$329.90 LS2 Gaskets and other seals that were required V$315 The engine is runing fine now firing on all 8 cylinders its refreshed and the power output is 400hp, which is more then enough. So the total cost for this repair was V$1699.45, the wobly stearing will have to wait a bit cause I am broke AF and wouldn't like to start repairing and run out of money for parts xD |

Last two days were busy belive it or not.......
Ok I will kick this update off whit the Volvo that is now in "perfect" condition. Yestrday I removed all the stearing components and waited for the parts that I ordered to arrive today. Afther arrival most of the parts were straight bolt on but whit few we had some small issues but the car is runing fine. List of everything that was wrong : -both innner and outer ties rods -drivers side control arm -passenger control arm -struts and all mounting hardware -both wheel hub assemblies -sway bar and end links -ball joints -left and right CV joints Yep it is a impressive list, in order to fix all that I had to ask Cate for some money and he said "No worries broski here you go V$2500 and no need to pay back just chill", and I raped the phone ordering stuff. The total cost for all those items listed above was V$1752.35, and I had to pay V$350 to a shop for the alignment and while in the shop there was a guy that is a 850 lover and he bought one whit Volvo R rims but he couldn't find the rims that I had on mine Volvo 850 Columbia, and as he saw me he approached me to swap rims and I was like mate I don't have money to give for those rims, he had only one reply I don't need nor I want money I want your rims, trade for mine or give me a price, couldn't decline such an offer. The car is runing great now, it stops fine and there is no play in the stearing anymore. Now to the 180SX While I was sorting out the stearing gremlins @Lagano and @Cate put the car on jackstands took off all the parts and cut of the rear panels. Also I am selling all the old parts that are not destroyed, Shark or Chuki or Facelift front bumper (name it however you want), hood, and mirrors, also I am selling the Bride Zeta III Seat whit Takata belts, and the drift handbrake and shifter. Write in the comments or send me a message if you are interested in some of the parts or for the whole lot! This post was edited by Phonexius (2017-01-21 17:39, ago) |

I will kick off this update whit thanking everybody that helped me on this project :
- FamouseMan, he helped me whit a lot of stuff that we needed and that are way cheaper in Japan then in the states, - Cate, he helped me a lot whit money and he also helped me whit welding and some more stuff, - Lagano, he helped me inspect a engine and again whit welding and cutting and more stuff, - ThatBoostedNigga, he came all the way from LA (1300 Miles distance between us) just to give me some help on the projcet. So whit a team of 4 in the garage the work was done insanely fast, but none of that wouldn't be possible whitout @FamouseMan he found a 180SX on a junkyard and cutted the rear pannels and shipped them emediatly. Also one week ago I saw @Wards advert on Used Parts about his engine sale and I bougt his engine for V$1100 and it arrived couple of days ago, @Lagano gave it a detailed inspection and the engine passed it whit flying colors. @Boosted and @Cate spent a whole lot of labour hours in to welding the rear panels and the result is extremly epic. Some will notice and some won't but the rims actualy changed. From the old suspenssion we kept the arms cause those were in mint condition belive it or not but the springs were cutted badly and 2/4 shocks were busted. Bought a 2nd hand 326 Power coilovers for V$650, and I traded my Work Equip 01 15" for Volk Rays TE37V SL 15". The brakes remained stock, we just changed the fluids and inspected the pads and everything is fine, the engine is installed as you noticed currently the car is in runing condition. So the total cost this time was V$1900, more work soon I just wanned to give a update on the prograsse on the One80! |
