	First of all, ive never posted on VStanced before and i decided to do it here. Living in england doesn't get any better than cold weather and your average car meet every saturday in a tesco car park but you can find some hidden gems among a scrapyard and your grandads shed. I recently bought a Golf. Has it fair share of problems but it cost me V$1500 but it has rusted shell, a poor 1.5 litre engine that misfires and is missing its exhaust manifold. I had original gold split rims but i sold them for extra money for this money pit. I imagine you all want to see some pictures so here you go, enjoy.

Best get searching, see you lot soon Added 36 minutes later: Well i searched for about an hour and came across a near mint corrado VR6. i messaged the seller and he said he is breaking it for a friend, i asked if he would sell me the dash and clocks for cheap and he said V$ 125 is his lowest so i agreed to come down to birmingham to collect them. A Hour and half later i have them. Just gotta do some fabricating and they should be in. Zero Added 30 minutes later: Since starting this project i have spent around V$1725 and V$50 Diesel (1.7 DTi astra). 	Man I'm not used to Vauxhalls or opels, because the only main countries I was in was Japan (where I live now) and the United States for most my life. But I hope the golf build goes well! I might be getting a mk3 golf soon since there so cheap in Japan after I finish my next project.

	Nice man, whats it like in Japan car wise, all im used to is clapped out golfs and corsa's. What mk3 golf you looking at as well?

	A lot, lookin at japan dealer auctions, I'm interested in this one golf mk3 in mint condition with pretty low miles and aftermarket wheels... etc. My guess is the car would go for as much as the wheels are worth if not less. Proubly gonna get it for 500V$. But japan car wise Theres a lot of cool cars once in a while on a normal road, but at car meets there some cool stuff most of the time, you should visit Japan with me some day (RP Wise not IRL). (oh and does your game work with SR20DE's? Mine don't but if it does you wanna buy my sr20de with 5 speed manual for 1500V$ with some spare parts in rp?)

	Mine doesnt work with SR20DE's sadly but yeah will have to some time. Over here in uk cars can go for loads depending on spec but my golf, i picked it up for dirt but it did have some problems, was originally going to buy an astra GSi but seller sold to some dude before i could buy.

	Right, not been long since i last updated but the car decided to crack its rocker cover so i had to search for a new one, luckily my grandad had an old Vauxhall C20XE Rocker Cover which miraculously fitted. I also found G60 Lip thanks to a guy at the local meet. But the best bit was finding a westmoreland grill with complete GTi strip in rusty yellow, i also bought a GTi badge and new VW Logo for the front. That is all, Zero. Added 1 minute later: And yea man anytime, maybe find something special.

	Fair enough, thought it would be easier maintenance. Added 3 minutes later: Since the turbo on my engine was playing up i decided to take a trip to a garage renown for tuning golfs etc. They have mapped it and its making 700 bhp and 630 ft-lb of torque. 	Honestly the engine has some modified internals i think. I bought it from a scrapyard and they said it has some sort of aftermarket pistons, i think they are DS Blackseries. It also runs on diesel so it makes sense. Added 3 minutes later: This is dyno sheet they handed me if this helps

	it depends, its up to you. If u lived in Japan you really want a drift car, idk about the UK never been there.

	People drift but its a small community and there isnt a good choice for cars either, its mainly e36's and stuff like that. I would like to try it tho bet its cool as Added 28 minutes later: So ive decided, im buying an e36, gonna try and swap a 2j into the shell and drift it to bits but sell the civic and keep the golf - Zero Added 5 minutes later: So a friend of mine is looking for something quick, really quick in fact so i said pass me V$4700 and you can have civic so he said yea, so look whos V$4700 in pocket. 	Man if you lived in Japan id sell the e36 to ya when its complete... It would be perfect to swap a 2j in it with help of me because 4 cylinder.

	If your not using ur BMW as a daily and if u don't care if ur freezing in the UK, you should take the REALLLLYYYYYY THICK installation and take off nearly 100lbs.

	I would get you a hood and bumper at a junkyard... but shipping would cost a lot AND 328i's are proubly more common in the UK than Japan. Even though in Japan there not that hard to find at auction. And if you daaarree put a M3 kit on... jk jk. Lol but if you did i would feel like i would have to keep my bmw. But in the future ill get a REAL M3! MAUUAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAAA! 	engine gonna worth 800V$ and a 2j 2nd hand costed me 7k... but mainly cuz i wanted a manual trans instead of a auto, but if u get a jdm 2jz itll cost you over a grand to ship it. So youll prob have a lame UK one :)... One question: which trans are you gonna put in it automatic or manual 5spd or 6spd. and another question is it gonna be factory twin turbo?

	Factory 5spd and Big Single but im fine with a lame uk one since there is a jdm car lot near london so im heading down later tonight to see if they have one. So thats V$17005 - V$7000 but +V$800 Im left with V$10805

	Dang you bought a 2jz and sold a 6 cylinder bmw engine in 18 minutes! Wow nice! Make sure you don't get to much hp otherwise it would be very odd to drift. I would say go for 350hp or 300hp. I estimate my s13 having 250hp with a lot of small things wrong with it

	Seems about right power 300 - 350 but its the people i know thats why i can shift stuff fast haha

	Plus the more hp you have the less reliable the engine is, even though Toyotas are bulletproof but still. Like your golf could explode in a couple of miles for al we know in the spring. And believe me i saw a lot blow up, mainly cuz work at a speed shop maybe? and do paint and engine swaps for living

	I would think about building up my CT9A and making 400+ WHP and sweet exhaust and new seats, gauges, wheel, rollcage, coilovers.... <3 but its a daily and i gotta drive to work on most days for a long time.

My first car i owned after a while was pushing about 550 brake at the front wheels. If you wonder what car it was a vauxhall astra mk3 with a saab b204 under bonnet.

	If you move the engine forward the shifter wont line up with the trans, therefore you cant shift... orr you can move something else like the radiator...?
