So instead of actually driving my proper drift cars, I decided to bring the daily all the way from Nagoya to Tochigi, to rip Nikko Circuit, a 4 hour drive. Nikko has always been one of my favorite tracks to rip other than Ebisu Minami or Higashi.

I picked up a set of spares from Lewis and made the long drive out on the plates off the other S13, and wasted no time getting as much seat time as I could, getting a feel for the 1JZ powerplant.

Multiple times during the day I dipped a tire off the track and picked up a wheel - at one point it was quite high up and all I saw was sky.

And at the end of the day on my last run, I ripped 2nd gear all the way through the pits, which made the track officials quite unhappy.

Needless to say, I had a ton of fun. Forgot how much fun it was to rip a street car with just over 350ps and a stock e-brake. Definitely going to look to widen it a bit, get a Cusco two-way, and generally just have a good time with this car.

And nothing was more satisfying than being able to drive home in the same car :)
