Hello everyone!

This information is not a fake, i'm actually thinking about making a game that could be called "Street Legal 3". This project takes its beginning far in 2007 when i decided to find a team that could help me with development and investors that may cover all costs. I contacted Invictus and tried to discuss possible licencing issues, since CRC engine requires payments for commercial use and they are HUGE, especially for a startup-business. Nobody decided to investigate into such expensive development so i had to continue it on my own, as a result i've created alpha build of game called "Project Delta", it has 2 test vehicles, garage, primitive mechanic module (you can install/remove parts), inventory right inside the garage and debug module.

I've faced with a very hard choice that time: 1. continue developing Project Delta alone, kill SLRR 2.3.1 and achieve unknown results; 2. freeze Project Delta and make a huge reload for SLRR 2.3.1; 3. Get deeper into business, collect money and found my own game developing company to continue both projects. I've picked the 3rd variant and disappeared from modscene for about 1.5 years, but this time gave me a lot of important things. I didn't launch my own game development company, but i've gained a great business experience and important contacts that may help me in the future.

So, what people can wait from Street Legal 3:

- Similiar modding possibilities: adding add-on cars, parts, maps, gamemodes, script mods, everything!

- Online races, CRC engine does support that, but this part needs some serious extra coding;

- NO MORE RANDOM CRASHES, much better rendering speeds, instant vehicle loads, all benefits of improved resource engine;

- Better vehicle handling;

- Only real cars and real parts in stock game client;

- Recording replays, CRC engine has this feature built-in so it should work perfectly;

- Improved graphics, but since i don't have source code for EXE, i could experience some problems with this part of work, so i want to try hiring Boris Vorontsov (creator of famous ENB series mod) to help me with hacking the executable;

- Even more hardcore game experience! More focus on real life things, less arcade elements, deeper car building and tuning.

BUT, i clearly understand you need a demo-version of game and a detailed business-plan before investigating anything into this project, so i will begin making both theese things next year right after release of my 2.3.1 patch (that should happen very soon, patch is almost done). I will also release the complete source code of SLRR 2.3.1 so everyone could see how actually i work with this technology and what level of quality you could expect from Street Legal 3. I'll be completely opened for people who trust me.

Finally, will you get the sources for SL3 to make mods just like in SLRR? - If this game will be released, i will give all the sources you need.

So, summing up, there are 4 important things:

1. No donations before i release demo and show detailed financial documents. I can also open a kickstarter project to ensure more guarantees to people who donated their money to me;

2. Full moddability, opened sources after release of ready game (or even earlier);

3. Focus on hardcore gameplay, community takes important part in its building by providing ideas/suggestions;

4. Direct access to developer, no more corporative mail that may have no answer. You can say what you think and you will be heard.
