S13 CHRONICLES (Yes I removed the P)

Let's R E W I N D

I know I've been calling it a PS13, but now I'm finally changing the title to what it really is. A LONG while back, Muzahid (Niatross) found it abandoned down a narrow street, with no information on it except that it was a project car gone bust. Since then he has modified it, brought it back to life, and turned it into a solid drift car base.

Juggling between this and his other vehicles at the time, (A Zenki S14, a Kouki Z33, and an ES Civic), he was able to get it back together, with a mighty S14 SR20DET powerplant, force-fed via a GReddy TD06SH-25G turbo, with bits like a custom top mount manifold, custom piping for a GReddy FMIC, GReddy oil catch can, and a Koyo radiator. Topped off with optional order of a 3.5inch straight pipe. On the outside, it was kitted with an aero package from Works 9 Japan, Weds Kranze Cerberus IIs, and a fancy livery courtesy of Benny's Motorworks.

Marc (Macaron_moon), our renowned ballsy and aggressive test driver, put the car to the test with his skills and it held up well!

But a (literal) banger occurred and piston number 4 went kaput. Marc took over in hopes of restoring it but as he could barely finish his own CZ4A (a monster in the making), he had to let it go. And so it sat like that for a LONG WHILE, looking as depressed as it could ever look.

Like I've previously said, this car has never left the Kami-Sama team, and in the name of tradition, I (we) intend to keep it that way. And so, I am now the one who assumes custody of this car. I found out at the DMV that it's a 1990 Nissan Silvia J's (Chassis Code: S13, Factory Engine: CA18DE)!

I have since sold off the demolished Works 9 aero, removed the livery for a cleaner look, to be replaced eventually with a newer design. I also traded front ends with Muzahid's 200SX, he went Sileighty, while I went Onevia.

Engine wise, I salvaged the internals off of Yuan (BigSmoke's) old S15, an automatic SR20DE, as the piston bores were the same despite being higher comp, those were the perfect internals to swap over in order to resurrect this S13. And resurrect the S13 it did.

At this point, this car REALLY is for keeps now.

Just 2 days after finishing the car up, it went in for its first proper shakedown at Setonaikai Circuit, imagine driving all the way there from Tokyo, and it not breaking down, not even once! But GODDAMN this car needs some A/C HAHAHA. If anyone has some HVAC components for an S13 hit me up!

(Also before you say anything about the 240SX badging in the back, since Onevias were sold by Nissan in the US as 240SX Coupes, I figured, why not give this JDM Silvia a touch of 'MURICA)

Everything seemed to be in order, oil was good, coolant still full, fluids topped up, so I closed the hood and did a final rundown.

When everything was gucci I waited for my turn to shakedown, then IT WAS ON.

Grabbed my Vertex Wheel while sitting on my Thrash Racing Seat, and SET OFF!

First few rounds I was taking it slow.

But as I grew more confident about the track and my car, I started to absolutely

SEND IT.

AAAAAAA MAXIMUM YEETAGE = MAXIMUM ENJOYMENT, THE WHOLE DAY

And after resting at the pits, right before heading home, I took a couple of celebratory success photos,

EPIC SHAKEDOWN MISSION PASSED!

A couple of hours later, and here we are at home.

Parked right beside my RS13U.

Speaking of RS13U! (FINAL RS13U CHRONICLES)

It is now time to say GOODBYE to the 200SX, my good buddy Jorge (Ward) is coming down to pick it up this week, he's owned numerous S13s in the past, including a very nice KPower Styled one! I'm sure he'll do this car justice, and for a settled price of V$6,000, it's a win win for both of us. (Okay maybe I lost out on the deal but HEY, trust a nigga and his process, S U P P O R T !)

Thanks for tuning into tonight's update, more (hopefully the last redundant) updates on the Ichigo coming soon!! :D
