Extensive chassis cleaning and rust removing was done as well as the paint was all cured.

I decided to stay similar but much cleaner look by using pearl white color from R35 GTR.

I could've done further by spot-welding the chassis, but I think it was overkill for such good condition.

Well I think it has to be done someday.

11K, Mr. Lee and I was working on my R34 altogether for weeks, and the RB26 engine was test-fitted, and everything looked great until some issue came out.

We've taken out the plenum, the exhaust piping, camshafts and the bearing.

The internals looked okay but there were quite serious leaks all over the place and some residues inside.

That's definitely not a good sign.

As we took more and more components out of the engine, luckily there were not much issues other than leak and some outdated ignition coils, oil and the gasket.

No metal pieces or chunks have been found.

I value grip and balance much more than boost and horsepower. Tires and the brakes are the two most crucial elements I think it should be done seriously.

Apart from using Endless Brake assembly from Supra, I chose to go with the AP Racing/Stillen 300mm Disc with 6P Front, 4P Rear brake set, which costed V$ 5000 including those racing brake pads. It's pricey but fast cars should stop well.

Second, I really loved the look of Work T7R 2-piece wheel when I first used it on my Supra for a short time, so I went with 18" ones with gunmetal finish on the spokes. Costed V$ 3500 including the R888 tires.

Bold move, yet I have tons of stuff to work on the R34. Stay tuned!
