Another Nissan

Yeah, the 240SX coupe and the FC RX-7 is now in another person's hands. I was really thinking a lot about selling those rare classics, but I had to move on and reduce the number of my rides lately. The Tico is still here with our crew in the garage, so no worries.

Sad stories aside, I came up with this rather nice looking R34 (Not the GT-R) lately, for a reasonable price of V$ 12000. Not so expensive, but not so cheap as well. Reason why this one is on the pricey side, was that this particular car was recently imported, luckily by some legal loopholes. Most Skylines around Korea is basically much cheaper than in US or other countries, but the condition of those aren't that good.

In conclusion, this "fresh-imported" R34 is considered rather an unobtainable unicorn these days between Korean car enthusiasts. And I bought it.

It's sporting some aftermarket parts and Nissan parts mixed altogether, but in a good shape. 25GT front bumper, R33 wheels.. Not bad for the price. It had RB25 engine with aftermarket single turbo with intercooler setup, and the OPTIMA battery wired in. No signs of knocking, tapping or screeching. I assume the car was sold right after the inspection period.

Those iconic talilights (thank god the lights are all stock), heavily abused aftermarket rear muffler and the Abflug rear bumper. That's unusual. The brakes were also replaced once, judging by the drilled disc and the colored calipers.

The paint and the undercarriage looked okay. Considering the age of the car, it is 8/10. Perfect for daily condition. Btw, no signs of rear trunk spoiler mount or holes drilled through. Maybe the trunk was once replaced, or is it the barebone 2.0 model with 2.5 swapped in?

Now the interior. The driver's side seat was obviously replaced with Bride Low-Max seats as well as the ATC Volanti steering wheel. Not the Nardi wheels we see everyday, but a rather exotic choice. The gauge clusters and minor trims were replaced into GT-R version (non GT-R models have opposite) but I really don't care about the "originality" since this will probably be the daily anyway.

More inspection will be done as soon as the paperwork for the R34 is done, and the DMV fully approves that it is legal.
