Ah, well been gone for almost a week now i think. But yeah gotta say, Osaka kept me quite busy lmao. Mostly on the Supra. Which may i say, got a SHIT TON of progress. So yeah, buckle up for a update which is mostly a supra photobomb. Im gonna cover up all the work shenanigans in Mackays place. As for all the Fun stuff we did, and we did have a LOT of fun, keep an eye on my buddy Macarons update soon! A barbecue, Getting drunk to shit, and So much more!

So uh, yeah, a lotta stuff did get done on my beloved supra over this week. The first thing i did on it after a day of rest upon reaching Osaka,

NEW WHEEL SETUP

Suspension adjusted a bit, wheels put on, and lowered down. Here we are guys, 18" Volk TE37's for the Supra!!

Bought em used, in good condition from a guy selling em 20mins away from mackays place. Didnt have tyres mounted initially, but the prev owner had the courtesy to give the whole set a full wash and cleanse, and then i got some fresh bridgestone potenza's from a local parts store. 285's up front, 295's in the rear. Mounted em right with mackays tire mounter!

prev owner initially asked about 2500 for the wheels, but well, managed to barge it down to 2300. Bargaining is what i do XDDDDD Bought em, dropped em off at the garage, then got the potenzas for 1000$ all in all. 3300V$ is quite a bit for a wheel setup, but well, sacrifices.

Right next to my Supra tho, Mackay's mostly OEM, yet BEAUTIFUL BMW M4!

Gotta say, i've loved the M4 F82 since it came out. People call it the worst sounding M car, but really i dont mind it. just the looks, the power, ofc the german engineering, it all compensates easily! and the pearl white mackays car is in, with the Fifteen52's, its just a BLESSING to the eyes. for me at least!

Later on we went on a little McDonalds trip. Me and Erwin rode in the backseat of the M4. Mackay's wife drove and he was riding shotgun. You'll see that in Macaron's, or AJ's thread ;)

Later on, it was time to actually progress on the supra. My goal apart from getting it caged, was to get it running here. While Mackay started preparing the tubes for it, i disassembled the cylinder head fully. And cleaned it as far as i could.

AJ pulled C-REX in on the the lift to check underneath for any gremlins.
You may ask how my non running supra has its taillights on. Well i had the taillights still connected to the battery and turned the key, to add a bit of cool points to the photo. probably didnt make any difference but i tried XD

Bit by bit, i began to assemble the head back. Starting off with the HKS Cams and all the other small valvetrain parts. And damn with how good them cam gears look, i should be running no timing cover. But well, protection lmao.

With the valvetrain sorted, i put on some good RTV that Mackay had a few spare packs of, before putting on the new Tomei metal Head Gasket. Then put the sparkplugs back on, and voila, the head is back as it was. except beefier underneath. Ofc i did all this with Erwin and lagano sorta supervising and giving a hand at times. Grateful for that! :) Then i started properly sealing everything else back on with new gaskets and more RTV
Lack of pics because i was kinda focused on the work haha

It was getting pretty late. Everyone had left mostly. AJ and Marc went off to our hotel room, Erwin and Lagano dropped some more tips and went home too. Just, me and Mackay. Tirelessly working on this supra. He finished up the materials and mocked them up one by one in the interior and sorta glued them on temporarily to see fitment, while i put back on the intercooler, gave the car some fresh ENEOS 5w30 engine oil, and some coolant too. afterwards mackay gave me a hand and we connected the wiring up. gonna be disconnected soon on the ECU to accomodate for a PowerFC, but we'll figure it out later.

And now, the big moment. Getting past 1a.m., and its time to crank the car for the first time.
First crank did absolutely nothing, until i found my dummy ass forgot to plug the starter. But well with that sorted, about 3-4 tries later,

L I F E !

what a feeling this was! this supra is most likely the car ive put the most dedication into. Seeing it finally having life, and hearing the sound it created because of the bigger cams. What a joy! A high five and a good ol' bro-hug later, we both went home to get some much needed rest.

The next day, Mackay and i both got to welding the cage in permanently. I needed welding lessons anyways so this was my chance. plus it reduces work for mackay himself so why not lmao.

After a few hours of welding and good music playing on the background, here we are! with a full caged interior!

Put the seats in next, with functional sliders retained ofc. They're a fucking pain in the ass but, small details i guess

thats that then. Over a week, sweat and some blood too, the goals for Supra in Osaka were achieved. Not just blood and sweat and hardship tho. bet i dont have to remind but i'll do anyways, THIS WAS FUN!! Can not thank Mackay, Erwin, and Lagano enough for helping me so much on this car. Like i said on erwins thread, they are all a part of this build too. And i meant it :-X So is AJ and Marc. Hell Marc convinced me to even buy this car. and AJ literally drove me to Osaka back when i bought it. Its just amazing how Building cars up can bring so many people together. All the memories, all the hard work on it, All only strengthening our friendships unknowingly!

Marc pulled in his Evo X later on, now it was time for work to begin on his car. But thats a whole other adventure! You'll ofc see it on Marc's thread soon!

AJ's car, my evo, erwin and lagano's cars were all parked outside mostly. lmao like i said, C-REX did hold up perfectly on another Osaka trip. My evo didnt have much issues too. Its OEM mostly after all.

Oh and MACKAY, i uhm *cough* "politely borrowed" some souvenirs of this Osaka trip that you had lying around. Gotta represent! XDDDDDDD

Welp, that'll be it for now. Wont gonna be in Osaka for much longer now. But so far, this was one of the best trips of my life, i give you that. Anyways, thanks for stopping by as always! ;)
