Blue smoke means the either the piston rings or the valve guide seals have failed and the engine's burning oil. Does it makle a rattling noise when on start-up? Is the blue smoke only there on start-up? If hasn't had a rebuild then worst case scenario it's piston wear or head gasket failure
Also I'll be stopping over in the UK next week before I leave for the US in the summer holidays. I will stop over by your place before I head to Scotland.
I don't have clue noise while engine run because ECU are dead. I could use compression tester while hand crank.
My base was norther england (near Scot).
