Finally In Japan...... Probably by now you've heard a great news from 11000RPM. Yes we've arrived in Japan safe and sound. 11000RPM got his accomodation through Nishiyama, and I just decided to stay at MACKAY's place until things settle down. So, he basically mentioned all of the stuff we took care of 'after' the arrival, and I'd like to share how it was done. Basically it was a pain in the ass to work around with those bureaucrats arguing over automobile shipment to Japan.  We took care of all the stuff in Korea and headed to the ship yard, and boy it was a terrible experience. I had to stay over 18 hours in the boat doing nothing, and that is the worst thing that could happen by now. After the ferry arrived in Japan, we directly headed to the freight customs department to return our rides... But there was a minor problem.   Forget about the import/export documents on the windshield. I guess the cargo where the cars were held wasn't really clean, and I could see the dust all over the car. Of course 11000RPM didn't like this very well, since his car was recently repainted.  Anyway, we cleaned our rides at the gas station near the local highway. We also refueled our car.  ... And that's how we arrived in Japan. Pretty shitty experience on a boat, but fantastic in our rides. |
