BACK TO BUSINESS IN JAPAN

-✘ Well.. Hello everyone, as it is almost the end of September I guess it is good time to overview what happened this month. Long story short it was very busy month, bought few new cars, moved into our new garage - workshop, did a lot of work, acquired myself a Roll Cage welder certificate, basically I was occupied with one thing or another the whole time. So lets get into detail. ✘-

-✘ First things first right ? Well, as everyone know I was visiting United States and the end of the summer and bought myself "new" car.. It arrived to Japan at September 6. Probably a lot of you were wondering what kind of car I got. So yeah, it may disappoint some of you as I didn't bought some kind of American muscle car, I kinda did completely opposite and bought a "Japanese" car there, oops. I got myself a 1972 Datsun 240Z. Once again basically the same story as Cressida, it is just a rolling shell with few other bits,oh and stock L24 engine obviously completely dead as expected. The only good thing is that the car is practically rust free as it was in California it's whole life, also all windows are in one piece too haha. Here is the pictures the seller sent me before I landed in USA. Judging the condition from the pictures, decision was made to send the money and "buy" it even before I came to USA. ✘-

-✘ Here are the photos I took myself the day we picked her up. Everything was as I expected, minimal rust and also almost everything was in "good" shape, good news for us I guess. Another few months of nightmares and sleepless nights begins, as I am hoping to see it on the road by the end of the winter. But anyways, take a look at the car. ✘-

-✘ Before shipping the Datsun to Japan we took her to Sleepy's workshop, to inspect her even more, the underneath of the car appeared to be clean, without holes and similar things, everything was in place, the suspension will require a lot work to make it functional again but thats not a problem as I will be changing a lot of parts, might go the same route as I did with X30 but I'm not sure, we will see. ✘-

-✘ At the docks, preparing to ship the car out to Japan. Approximately it took about two weeks to get her from USA to our garage. ✘-

-✘ With the car at our garage I could finally start working.. Phase 1 - Disassembly, welding and strengthening the chassis. Disassembly was the easiest part, when everything was taken apart I could finally start working on the rust damaged places, as it was done in few days, I proceeded on strengthening the chassis of the car and fabricating few small bits, reinforced stock welds, re-did entire car with seam welding and etc. Off to sandblasting and checking everything once again. Good thing is that Shao's workshop is not so far away from ours, so I can borrow some tools that I need from him, this time the sand blasting machine. Will be buying one in future for sure. ✘-

-✘ In the last post of mine I said that I sold my BMW F10.. You may ask why ? Well.. Because one car was not enough for me and my wife. So instead of having one, I sold it and got ourselves two other cars.. One for my wife and one for myself. Any ideas what kind of cars ? Oh, look, once again a Toyota and Nissan, back to Japanese cars lol. Some of you might already know the models from looking at the badges haha. ✘-

-✘ First lets talk about my wife's car.. Yeah, issa' a 2012 Toyota GT86 with manual tranny too. Basically bone stock, the previous owner was a woman too, so not abused or riced out. We got it for 11'thousand. I covered most of the price (8000V$) of the car, and my wife payed the rest herself as it is her car after all. I don't have any normal photos of it, but I'm sure you all know how the GT86 looks.. Here is a few photos from our trip to Tokyo, at the Daikoku as usual... ✘-

-✘ Now let's talk about my car.. What a surprise right, another 350Z.. I just can't live without those cars as I love the Z' series.. So when I had the chance I got myself the same car I sold two months ago, but this time a lot better. I got it for 17'thousand. It is Gray 2007 Nissan Fairlady Z Nismo, so it does have a significantly stronger and more powerful VQ engine than my previous one as this is Nismo one, basically a more powerful, more rigid, more track oriented and better handling car than Purple one ( I'm talking stock vs stock obviously ). It has few mods done to it such as HKS Recaro seats inside, LMGT4 wheels. Take a look at my 350Z V2 haha.. I am liking it even more in stock form than my old one in it's peak, I guess I am just excited. ✘-

-✘ Both cars in our garage, this picture reminds me of the days when me and Holeecrab did a collab, when we both were in early stages of our builds, oh boy.. The feels, time moves fast.. Anyways take a look. ✘-

-✘ So as always, I didn't stayed in one place and progressed a lot, a lot of work was done in September, major success once again, actually I am thinking of selling my Cressida as I am not using it as much as I thought I would, I guess I enjoyed building it more than driving, so if anyone interested PM me and we will discuss about it.. But don't you worry, I am planning of taking her for a spin soon, also got some footage from last touge run I did with Oscar, will post it soon. I will try to spend some time driving the X30 now, maybe I will change my mind.. But as you know the 240Z is on the way, and I will be in need for money so we will see.. Oh and by the way now I am able to fabricate any kinds of Roll Cages for you guys, I am certified and have the required tools for the job so Email me for your needs, I will try fabricating as my side job now, thats what I wanted to do for a long time.. So yeah, thats all, keep an eye open for further updates. Peace. ✘-
