It's been a while since the last update cause we had some work in our neighbour's paint shop, meanwhile the SC300 was at Takeda Racing shop being prepared for a drag competition which is coming soon. They did a whole lot of work there: First, they stripped some more interior parts and fitted all those gauges and buttons on the dashboard. They also changed some wiring for those buttons and installed a Momo steering wheel, after the interior work was done they tuned the 2JZ and dyno tested it.
The result is around 1150 HP and 900 ft-lbs of torque. :O

While the SC300 was at Takeda i ordered a set of D2 drag coilovers, which are a replacement for HKS Hipermax. I chose them because those HKS coils are long discontinued and you can't find them everywhere, and even if i would they would be way more expensive. Anyway, let's hope for some better launches now! :D I'm not sure about the suspension setup in general, i'll have to take a look at some drag cars to see what else i can change.
I also ordered these custom built Champion Speed Series wheels, but i still need some tires for them, hope the AoW guys can get me something!

When we brought the SC300 back home we installed the new coils, it sits a bit higher now but that's fine cause the suspension needs some space for drag racing. :P

After that we took off the air filter from the turbo intake pipe and extended it so it's now connected to the front bumper, where the foglights used to be. 2JZ probably has some more power now than at the dyno test cause it has optimal airflow! :D

I really wanted to try it out so i had to borrow a seat from Skip's 180SX. I could have the stock seat for now but i'll need it for the competition and until i find another racing seat, of course. Finally, i did some test runs in the evening and it's fast af! Launch wasn't the best cause the current tires are a bit used, but i'm sure it will be much better after i change them.

So the SC300 is pretty much ready for the competition, expect more updates after 20th April when i'll submit my entry and get more info about the competition. :)
We also did some work on the AE86! As you can see it's already primared but the respray will have to wait cause we're missing some bodyparts. Skip found this 3S-GE engine on Craigslist, he also bought a set of suspension arms and a transmission adapter plate from Auto Saloon Magicke.

The 3S fitted in the engine bay like a glove cause it's not very different from the 4A, same can be said for the transmission because of the adapter plate.

Our AE86 is slowly but surely becoming drivable! :D
