After hearing that SR likes to backstab i ringed up a buddy of mine who said would take a look at it. So i went to his garage before the workday ended.
 Well, theres some good news and some bad news, the body is fine, only the radiator mounts have been replaced indicating a front collision at some point. And now the bad: Turbo has a quite nasty play in its shaft and its leaking oil, wich means it needs replacement, itll hold for now.(too late for refurbishment) Camshaft seals and rocker cover are leaking oil, also theres quite a big pressure in the sump indicating worn piston rings, and to top it all off, clutch will be going soon probably lasts as long as the turbo. I did not expect that many problems, oh well lets see what the future brings. Also he didnt charge me for this since i have to help him move houses next weekend. |
