I started the new year with the hearth of the beast being delivered to the shop. It's missing a couple of parts such as trans, headers and some other small parts but oh boy i'm stoked! It's a stock 2JZ-GTE with ONLY 20 000km (!!!!!!) on the clock. More about the history of the block you can find in the Spoiler " Background". Payed 3000V$ for it.
I met Jason last 2 years ago on a meeting. He was there with one of the most mint supra's you'll ever see. A full blown showcar with a brand new factory made 2jz in it. He had it build by toyota cuz he wanted a brandnew engine in his showcar. By the time he had only 5000 km's on the clock cuz the car only came out of his shop for doing meetings. I allways said " man if you sell the supra, first pull that engine out and sell it to me. Now 2 years later Jason contacted me. He closed his shop cuz he wanted to move out of Belgium. He allways remembered me asking for the engine and that's why he contacted me. We agreed on the price ( i wanted it, nomatter how much he asked for it ) and the good fella brought it over at newyears day
