The Capri my mum had, in the early 90s:
 And here it is in real life: (I can leave the license plate, it's been scrapped for 20 years  )  Notice the red sticker on the left of the tailgate that says 'CABARET'. These things are now rare as fuck. And here was it's replacement after the 1.6 Pinto engine threw a piston: A 'Rosso Red' 2.0 Laser. After my oldest brother was born, he sold the Laser and got a Volvo 940 Wentworth 2.0-litre. With a non-working turbo. Doge will probably disagree that the 940 was a downgrade...  It was towed away...  And replaced-note my dad washing the bonnet at the time.  That picture (^) is special to my dad, because it is the only one he has of that car. He misses it. He also can't remember at all what the number plate of it read. And you can't tell from the picture because of the shadows. |
