Mark II + Broken SR20?As some of you know, i bought this Mark II to be my daily, hence why i haven't done much to it, i needed a reliable car to go to work and such. I bought a few parts to it such as a Amber Right front indicator for 20 V$ at one of the local junkyards here in Saitama(when i bought the car had a Clear indicator in the right and a Amber in the left, no idea why). Also bought this front lip in Kazama Auto, one of the best shops around Saitama. It costed me 95V$. aaaaaaand now to the not-so-reliable project car: I started putting apart the SR20DE from my 180sx because i was thinking about boosting it... But... I don't think that's gonna happen. When i bought this car it had 197k miles on the swapped SR, previous owner took off the CA18. Now it has about 240k miles. When i was putting it apart i noticed my engine block has a HUGE crack in it, which i had no idea about, kinda scary to think i used to daily drive and even took it to ebisu for a drift event... Plus the engine it self is pretty dead due to the huge mileage, my header is cracked and one of the rocker arms is as well. Also needs a new head gasket. To be fair the time and money i would spend rebuilding this SR is more than i can afford, so i'm thinking to take this SR20DE to a junkyard and look for a SR20DET or SR20VET. My goal is to push around 350-450 hp, is more than enough so i'm gonna talk to some friends and hunt for some good deals. Finances: 4648 - 20 (amber indicator mark II) - 95 (mark II front lip) = 4533 V$ |
